A bit of quick info about the lan:
• Opens 12:00 on monday the 2:nd of January, we estimate the first tournament to start around 20:00 that day.
• Closes 12:00 on thursday the 5:th of January, we hope to have all tournaments finished so we can have the prize ceremony around midnight the night before.
• As for the entrance fee, this time we're trying out a new scheme, if you pay your tickets before the 15:th, you get away with a measly 150kr (about €16/$19/£11), now isn't that a steal? If you pay later than that but before the 29:th, it hits you for a still low price of 200kr a ticket. After that it's too late to prepay, but you can still buy a ticket at the door for our regular price of 250kr. (There won't be a shortage of seats this time as the new venue can easily hold 400 ppl)
• Prepayment is made in the usual fashion, by depositing the proper amount on our bankgiro or plusgiro (formerly postgiro) accounts along with the nickname(s) you registered with.

  Foreigners who can't easily prepay in the normal way (and don't have someone in sweden who can do it for them) should contact us and we'll work something out, we're usually pretty reasonable guys...
• The venue some of you might remember from rec-lan, it's a big hall (3 times as big as galaxen, with a separate and almost as large sleeping hall) next to sollentunas public bath, 1km from galaxen. (20km north of stockholm, on the way to arlanda/uppsala)
• The bigger venue gives us space to set up the spectating area like we've always wanted to do it, expect lots of large bigscreens (courtesy of the very nice people at Mitsubishi Electric), funny/exciting commentating etc.
• We want to take this opportunity (holding the lan in a sports hall again for the first time since qhlan4 and all) to reinstate the old qhlan tradition of wrestling tournaments, look forward to see your favorite quake player getting owned on the mats by our highly trained wrestling crew.
• There will of course be the usual popular qhlan kiosk, with old favorites returning and some new additions under the care of Natt.
• Internet connectivity will once again be sponsored by DCS.NET and Sollentuna Energi, which I guess means the usual excellent pings to the unfortunate rest of the world who couldn't make it to the lan in person.
• This venue actually has showers!, so now we can all look and smell our best in front of dag and the other la hotties. <3
• The quakeworld tournaments will be managed by a pack of monkeys painstakingly trained by Lornelin over the last year, so they should go along much better than usual. Expect nothing but the best from this crew!
• Prizes will of course depend on how many attendees we get, but thanks to a tight leash on our expenses, if we get as many ppl as last winter we can afford bigger prizes, despite the much better venue.
