The QHLAN series is run mainly by the non-profit association SLA.

Stockholm LAN Association - although not officially formed and registered with the tax agency until late 2001 - is based on a group of people who have been into multiplayer gaming since the early nineties possessing a great deal of experience in the field, having organized more than 30 lans over the years. They are responsible for the "Cola LAN" series, the long-running LorneLAN series, the SDK series and lately the QHLANs and Infensus Tournament. It's first "big" lan, QHLAN 3 in January 2002 had almost 200 visitors and was at least in the visitors eyes a big success and earned a reputation as _the_ quakeworld lan. It now regularly has people coming from all over europe, and lots of spectators all around the world for the live broadcasts.
